Cedars Park was named after the Cedar tree that once grew in the garden of the house of the same name. The picture below was taken probably in the late 1950s.
Unfortunately, we lost this tree many years ago. Perhaps someone could tell us when exactly. When it was there, it stood in front of gap between the cafe and the meeting room.
I remember the tree well, it was quite magnificent. Thanks for the photos, brings back memories. You can see a greenhouse in the background where plants used to be grown for the park.
